Sean is a Managing Director and founding principal of Maren Group.

Prior to Maren, Sean co-founded Alterity Partners, a mergers & acquisitions advisory firm which was acquired in 2004 by one of the U.S.’s largest commercial banks.

Prior to Alterity, Sean was a senior investment banker at Goldman Sachs & Company, where he led deal teams in a variety of technology and healthcare/biopharmaceutical transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestures, and IPOs. Prior to Goldman Sachs & Company, Sean worked in sales and marketing at Pfizer.

Sean was a Captain in the U.S. Army Rangers and was decorated for combat in the Panama invasion. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Sean received a B.S. in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Phil is a Managing Director and founding principal of Maren Group.

Prior to Maren, Phil co-founded Alterity Partners, a mergers & acquisitions advisory firm which was acquired in 2004 by one of the U.S.’s largest commercial banks.

Prior to Alterity, Phil held a variety of operating roles at priceline.com (SVP of Corporate Development), Cendant Corporation (GM of Interactive Services) and Nordson Corporation (Director of Marketing).

Phil received a B.S. in Finance from Ohio State University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
